| TITLE | Marion Hotel in Salem, Oregon |
| COLLECTION | Marion County Historical Society |
| DESCRIPTION | A picture of the Marion Hotel around 1920 is shown. Old cars are in front of a four story building that has covered entrances on two streets, Ferry and south Commercial. It appears to be a four story building with a metal fire escape on the Commercial Street side. Rooms on the first, second, and third floors seem to have windows that are round on top. The windows on the fourth floor are square. An advertisement for the Hotel Marion in the Polk's Salem and Marion 1924 County Directory called it the largest and most complete hosterlry in Oregon outside of the Portland area. It was an official AAA hotel. An armory can be seen in the background. |
