| DESCRIPTION | The building advertising "Salem Beer" is the location at 268 S. Commercial Street in Salem of the Salem Brewery Association. The building is four stories high on the corner of Commercial and Trade Streets. In the rear of the building is an attached lower box-like addition. Tracks of the Oregon Electric Railway run down Trade Street. Several freight cars are on a side track next to the brewery building. The picture, taken in 1943 or 1945, also shows cars of that vintage parked on the street and at curbside. A street light stands on the corner of the intersection. |
