DESCRIPTIONThis is a view of the oldest parsonage in its original position at 1325 Ferry St. This photo was taken in 1937 and at the time was the second oldest building in Salem. It was built in the fall of 1841 by Gustavus Hines, designed by Hamilton Campbell. The parsonage housed many of the early Methodist missionaries and circuit riders. One of the residents was the Rev. David Leslie.
