This is a photo of a house in Salem, Oregon, taken by Bob Koval in 1978 as part of a CETA grant project to make a photographic record of historic Salem homes. This house, constructed in c.1914, is located at 1205 17th Street NE. The architectural characteristics of this two story house include a brick chimney at the rear of the house, dual pitch hipped roof, hipped porch roof, corner boards, double hung windows, wide band horizontal siding and wide band wood trim at the wall soffit intersection. There is a front lawn with bushes and shrubs in the front and on the sides of the house. The architectural style is the Vernacular style.
