This is a photo of a house in Salem, Or taken by Bob Koval in 1978 as part of a CETA grant project to make a photographic record of historic Salem homes. This house, constructed in c.1903, is located at 1756 Court Street NE. The architectural characteristics of this two story house include a brick chimney at the rear of the house, cut wood shingle siding at the roof dormer, a dual sloped hipped roof, decorative purlin ends at the roof eave, double hung windows and an arched entry opening area. There is front lawn with small bushes and shrubs in the front and on the sides of the house. The architectural style is the Vernacular style.
