This is a photo of a house in Salem, Oregon, taken by Bob Koval in 1978 as part of a CETA grant project to make a photographic record of historic Salem homes. This house, constructed in c. 1929, is located at 796 Winter Street NE. The architectural characteristics of this two story house include two brick chimneys, brick facing at the entry, a segmented arch at the entry door opening, multi pane diagonal muntin windows at the second floor, multi pane casement windows at the first floor and combination brick stucco and wood siding exterior finish. There is a front lawn with bushes and shrubs in the front of the house. The architectural style is Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau style. This was the home of Governor Victor Atiyeh during his time in office in 1979-1987.
