DESCRIPTION
Mahonia Hall, the official residence of the Governor of Oregon, is an English Tudor style home set amid formal gardens on Lincoln Street in south Salem. It was purchased with private donations during Neil Goldschmidt's term of office but it is maintained with state funds. The clipped hedges and shrubs surround green lawns and a female statue stands encircled by flowers on the front lawn. Clipped plants spiral up on each side of the front door over which is a coat of arms.
