DESCRIPTION
A crane lifts the second floor of the Dalrymple House, one of three Italianate structures in Salem, Oregon, in order to place it on the moving platform. It was being moved from its original location at 753 Marion Street on May 10, 1972. Minutes later the building crashed to the ground as the crane apparently slipped. The first floor of the house is still in place. Houses on either side of it can be seen.
