DESCRIPTION
This is a photograph of the Oregon State Department of Forestry building located at 2600 State Street in Salem, Oregon. It was built in 1938 by workers from the Works Progress Administration, Civilian Conservation Corps, and other government programs, and is in the style of a rustic ski lodge. Eighteen native woods donated by private lumber companies were used in the interior. The stairway features unusual carvings of Oregon trees and wildlife. The building is on a list of historic sites and buildings in Oregon.
