DESCRIPTION
This is a photograph of the proposed Thief Valley damsite on the Powder River on the border of Union and Baker Counties. This is in east-central Oregon. The photograph shows the sagebrush-covered hills and the river lined with trees running through the valley. The location, height, and length of the proposed dam are indicated. The dam is a project of the Powder Valley Irrigation Company.
