Fox Covered Bridge near Norway in Coos County, 1945
The Fox Covered Bridge spanned North Fork Coquille River in Coos County near Norway. The bridge was built in 1883 by local carpenter, J.D. Bennett. It was supported by a Smith truss. The bridge was a victim of a fire in the early 1950s, which also burned the tiny Lee Valley Church. The remains of the wooden bridge were dismantled in 1954. A modern concrete bridge spans the stream now.
