DESCRIPTION
The courtroom in the Marion County courthouse in 1951, a year before the building was demolished, appears still to be in very good condition. To the left of the room is the jury box. The 48-star United States flag hangs behind the judge's chair. The portraits and other framed documents on the walls are hung at a high level just below the molding which goes around the room. Seating has been provided for spectators in the form of wooden benches. Court participants sit in more comfortable wooden armchairs.
