The picture is of the entrance to a beautiful Victorian house, the Parrott House located at S.E. Stephens Street in Roseburg. The entrance is across one corner of the house and has a five- or six-sided turred built above the second floor. This turret contains a window in each side, thus providing a view in each of the five or six directions, and is topped by a spire and weather vane. The front steps lead up to a porch and a double door entrance to the house. Abvoe this first story porch is a balcony for the second floor and another double door entrance as access to the balcony. The type of railings and trim used in Victorian architecture are present. The house whose picture was taken in 1963 is identified as ""Miss Rosa B. Parrot's mansion"". The house was built by Moses Parrott.
