DESCRIPTION
The bell from the Marion County Courthouse clock-tower in Salem, Oregon, after removal during the demolition of the courthouse in 1952, is loaded on a flat-bed truck in front of that building on N. High Street. The old courthouse is to the left of the truck and behind the photographer. The picture was taken toward the southwest, showing shops along State St. and the corner of State and High Streets. The Payless Drug Store sign is visible.
