Salado Covered Bridge over Big Elk Creek in Lincoln County, Oregon, 1963
This is the Salado Covered Bridge (World Guide No. 37-21-06). It was located in Lincoln County, Oregon, and was on the Harlan-Elk City road to Hill Top. The 72-foot Howe truss bridge was built in 1921 and spanned the Big Elk Creek. In later years, it was a gated bridge, and, therefore, the public didn't have any access. On July 6, 1963 the bridge was in bad shape and it was removed only 4 years later in 1967.
