DESCRIPTION
A display on the Marion County Courthouse lawn advertising a scrap drive as part of the war effort in 1943 during World War II. Thr drive was called Scrap Tall. The tall symbolic sculpture of a man, made from scrap metals, holds a kettle for collecting fats and greases. Tires and other scrap metal are at his feet. An exterior can be seen in this good view of the courthouse in the background.
